Paula Banks, LSW, CMC is the owner of Compass Concierge and Companions and is a certified Geriatric Care Manager and Aging Life Care Specialist has over 30 years of clinical experience working with seniors, their families, and caregivers. Paula has worked in hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities and home care agencies. She is also the owner of a private care management business, (Paula Banks Consulting).
Paula is on the Development Committee at Maine Behavioral Health and was named a Fellow of the Maine Gerontological Society of Maine in 2011. She is also the past Chair of The Board of Trustees at 75 State Street, an independent and assisted living community in Portland, Maine. Paula's areas of expertise include elder care, post-acute care planning, probate court/expert witness in guardianship cases, and mental health advocacy. She is passionate about providing Mainers and their families with the highest quality, personalized care and peace of mind.
Jennifer Banks believes that quality care begins with a nurturing and thoughtful caregiver. Her role as Manager of Compass is a fulfilling one sparked by her desire to see the aging process treated with love and respect. Jen has a lifelong history of caregiving and giving back to those in need. Her professional career started in big business and management and as she developed her business background she continued to volunteer and support organizations in Southern Maine that give back.
Jen has been with Compass Concierge and Companions since Day 1, first as a caregiver to put her certifications and love of elders to daily use. As Compass grew, Jen transitioned into the role of Manager and has been a compassionate and capable leader. She shares Compass’s philosophy of prioritizing the match between clients and caregivers and treating our clients as she would her own family. Jen finds great joy in the daily difference that Compass caregivers make in the lives of our clients. Jen believes that our caregivers are the heart of our Compass team and she strives to develop that team with strong direction, support and compassion.
Isabell Kubeck's love of history and personal stories has fueled her passion for working with and spending time with elders. In her career, Isabell has had the pleasure of working with seniors in a variety of roles, including as a caregiver, registered medication administrator, human resource professional, and administrator of a memory care facility.
Initially joining Compass Concierge and Companions as a caregiver, Isabell has since assumed and thrived in a multi-faceted role that includes caregiver training, scheduling, and assisting management in daily operations.
She enjoys improving her skills as an advocate for clients and caregivers and she’s excited to continue this work, because she believes there is so much to learn!
